I’ve a son, 2 plus-children and a daughter: a son in Belgium, Wout, 2 plus-children Nathan & Martin also in Belgium and a daughter in Tanzania, Yedida. Yedida goes to school in Haradali Primary School in Arusha, Tanzania. She’s an orphan but her grandparents are still alive. In the weekends she stays with them, in the week she’s at school thanks to the¬†Hockey Hearts Organization.

Thanks to my friend Ingrid De Graeve we came in contact with Emma Nicholas. He’s one of the occupiers of this organization to give children the chance to study. We were happy to help this young girl Yedida to build a better future¬†through education. She works hard at school and learns Swahili and English.

We follow her school career thanks to all modern communication tools: e-mail, skype, whatsapp, … and we sometimes send her some presents or money to buy new shoes and a schooluniform. I get her smile and happiness in return!
